1. Go to a document in the editor
2. Press the TM Merge button in the Translation Memory panel
3. Set all options to 'Save as fuzzy'
4. Select 80% from the threshold dropdown
5. Press Merge
The merge begins, but stops at 97%. Eventually it times out and the log shows:
Looks like a transaction timed out. We must be trying to do too much in one transaction.
Interestingly if the merge is attempted repeatedly it works.
We experience this very often and is at the top of our list for production launch barriers.
Even though this is not related to a specific point in the business execution, a sample exception
It is very realistic to have very long-running transactions in translation workflows. There may be a document with thousands of pages
Can you guide us to solve this problem? How can we change the time out? Or even better, would it be quickly possible to have a heart-beat kind of system with the current packages we have?
