Unable to sign up with user specified OpenID

Description of problem:
Unable to sign in with OpenID, when specifying the link via the OpenID field. Included are the examples I tried (let me know if they were used incorrectly) and the result. See attachment for the relevant server outputs.

How reproducible:
Easy always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click Sign Up
2. Enter the relevant OpenID provider url (federated or otherwise) into the OpenID field
3. Press Go

Actual results:

• https://openid.stackexchange.com
  Zanata was directed to the Stack Exchange "Allow host" page, then back to Zanata's sign up page. User was not signed in.

• https://myspace.com/damianjansen
  Login failed

• (http://damianjansen.blogspot.com.au )
  Input error: Illegal setup url for token com.google.apps.auth.OpenIdSetupException: Malformed token Google auth

• https://www.flickr.com/photos/damianjansen/
  Blank page. This is completely broken because the Flickr openid redirects to yahoo login which the user may end up logged in with entirely the wrong account.

Expected results:
Logged in
